Harley-Davidson Art Quilt, 2003
Fiber Art: Commercially printed fabrics, handpainted fabric, lame’, airbrushing.
The eagle, alone, is comprised of over 26 different fabrics with each feather individually cut and stitched. Over 150 commercially printed fabrics were used, some cut into 1″ or less pieces, to create this image that captures, to me, my love of Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The lightning is handpainted and airbrushed.
This art quilt was raffled at the Harley-Davidson 100th Anniversary One-of-a-Kind Auction in Milwaukee, WI in 2003 to benefit Muscular Dystrophy. The quilt raised $1,200.00.
